Yarn Along

Today I am doing something new for the first time!  I am joining Ginny's Yarn Along.  I don't know why it has taken me so long to join in.  I guess that I am usually posting about something else, but with my new more relaxed blogging regime - that is now less of a regime! - I have the chance today to take part!

So, what yarning along is happening here?  Well I am still working on this project.  It is coming along well now and I love it!  I will give you more information when I do a big reveal post.

I am also working on my New England Hexi blanket, I will order yarn today for my Basildon Park project and have already ordered yarn for a Christmas present that I am going to make.  So lots of yarning happening here in yarn terms!
As far as yarning in the book sense I am reading another of my Danielle Steel's, in fact I am nearly done - that will be 12 books this year which is a massive amount for me.  It is as they always are a light read, but a good enough story.  Again I will do a post about it, quite soon I expect!

I don't know why this picture is so fuzzy, poor photography skills!

So, that is it, lots of yarning going on here, but I am not yarning on much in this post!

Hope that you are having some good yarny times in your life.  Go and see what others are doing at Ginny's Yarn Along posts!

Amy

Edited to say that the crochet stitch is a V Stitch, TR into stitch you are working into, ch 1, TR into same stitch, then TR into next stitch etc etc (UK terms).  Also for those who asked, it is going to be a long scarf!

  8. This looks so cheerful Amy! You have been busy with the hook lately :) I bought a couple of books last week that I found on the discount table and have gobbled one up and halfway through the next. I've missed reading lately, so have made an effort to get back into it again. Enjoy your day!

  35. Love your long scarf and the colours are so cheerful, that it will brighten any dull day in winter. I'm glad you are back into your crochet and Jo and I are both participating in a crochetalong trying lots of different stitches, so that is fun too. Happy yarning and take care.

  37. I love the pattern and the colors!

  38. That treble V-stich pattern is a favourite of mine and always gets me in! It always looks attractive regardless of colour choice.

Funnily enough, I haven't used that pattern in any projects yet. It is such a classic, timeless pattern and I love it but perhaps that has been its own undoing in that none of my books have ever described how to do it - I guess the assumption is that everybody knows how to do it already but I didn't so I thank you for the instructions!

I hope you will model your scarf when it is done - I am eager to see how it looks. Such cheerful colours. :-)

  50. Love the bright colours Amy. I read a Danielle Steel book last week. I think it is a fairly new one called Country and it was rubbish - so boring. I usually love Danielle Steel. Maybe it was just this one novel. Joan at www.aviewtothefells.com
